Chaparral (1-0) opened its football season with an impressive 35-0 shutout victory over Brophy (0-4).
Junior QB Brayton Silbur lead the Firebirds with 20 of 30 passing for 258 yards, along with one passing and one rushing touchdown.
Chaparral's senior RB Jared Williams led the team with 137 yards and 2 TD's. WR Max Minor had 6 catches for 179 yards and 1 TD.
