The Broken Arrow Tigers and the Jenks Trojans got together at Allan Trimble Stadium in Jenks for what has turned out to be their district opener. It was all Tigers at the start, but Jenks rallied for an unanswerable fourth quarter comeback and the 38-30 win. Jenks improves to 3-1. Broken Arrow is 2-2.
The Choctaw Yellowjackets and the Booker T. Washington Hornets opened 6A-II District 2 play Friday night at S.E. Williams Stadium in Tulsa. It was a heavyweight battle with both teams swinging at their best, but Choctaw emerged victorious 26-22.
Putnam City opened 6A-I District 2 play at Putnam City Stadium Friday night with their defense firing on all cylinders to defeat the Edmond North Huskies 14-7.
The Booker T. Washington Hornets offense and defense kept the Sand Spring Sandites from scoring any points. In the second quarter, Booker T. steadily pulled away and at end of the game the final score was 49-0.
