Our first Thursday night game of the year is a battle of 2 of the top teams in District 5A-3, Bishop Kelley and Booker T. Both teams got off to a slow in nondistrict play, but now they are focused on a district title.
The Hornets are led by first year head coach Dan Bitson, a former player. Their defense is anchored by 6-3 290 pound Sophmore, Joseph Graves who plans to help the Hornet make a playoff run as they move down to class 5A.
The Hornets lost a lot of starters to graduation, and Coach JJ Tappana, has his eye on JR QB Gavin Nichols who brings outstanding athleticism to the field.
