Denham Springs defeated Livingston Parrish rival Walker 26-21 to get their first win of the season.

The Yellow Jackets (1-7) played a sharp, clean game in the first half, which resulted in a quick 19 points and proved too much for Walker (1-7) to answer.

Denham Springs sophomore running back Ray McKneely led the team with a career-high 260 yards on 32 carries.

Denham Springs held a memorial ceremony at halftime for their fallen teammate #77 Remy Hidalgo.

Walker star wide receiver Brian Thomas caught seven passes for 85 yards and added a 48-yard kickoff return to set up his team’s first score.
